Jill Smith Death

This is an investigation about suspicious death and also any illegal activities that related to Jill Smith death.

This forensic investigation is created to determine by using digital evidence, the death of Jill Smith, which has been suspicious under some circumstances. However, by examining her home computer, in facts, the death is not accidental. By using FTK, all the evidence that I came up with confirmed the fact that it was not accident revealed by keyword searches, recovered deleted files, internet activities at the same day or before the death of Jill Smith.

By checking the browser and history of key search on the internet and downloads, I saw more than six different type of guns. During the process of the home computer, this is an evidence of firearms related materials discovered.

Significance of Firearms Evidence:

The discovery of these firearms raises a potentiel of illegal transaction or possission. So, these finding conform one more time that the death is not an accident. Moreover, another tool of injury is found on the root/ window/internet file/low, and this is a (rubber mallet) found six of them or more near the place that I found the guns. So, Examination for fingerprints, DNA, to confirm.

As a Judge, everything else that I found to conform that the death was not an accident including also GPS tracking, involved the location and others. GPS coordinates indicate a potential location of interest linked to Jill Smith case. GPSs tracking, suspicious file downloads or pictures, dangerous website visited including, tobacco pipes, bongs, and suspicious conversion involved a death that committed but pretending that it was an accident.

“I heard on the NPR that the reason why they use a rubber mallet was they wanted to be able to make it look like an accident”. This is an inspiration of the case.

Hash Validation:

The facts that I took all the evidence from this image, Hash validation establishes the integrity, and also the confirmation of no changes from the original creation. For maintaining the chain of custody this operation is primordial.

In addition to that, by checking the Jill yahoo account I found that her account was blacked too many times due to suspicious activities that is an “unauthorized” access attempts to the account which is not normal. Suspicious activity was detected, because of unusual activities on Partition 2/root/user/Jill/AppData/Local….

Based on the digital forensic analysis that I did on this case, these conclusions have been found:

Suspicious activities on her computer about GPS data location before the death, multiple allusion to firearms found in the image files with the rubber mullet that matched before the last logon time of Jill including the house pictures as well, compromised email account, blacked with no access due to an unauthorized access. The forensic evidence indicates that the death is not accident all the evidences confirmed that.
